Electronic Medical Records: a neglected healthcare technology

Posted on 26 June 2008

Recently I came across news at NYtimes about the usage of electronic medical records among doctors in developed countries. According to the article not doubt EMR can result in;

Healthcare Improvement

Reduction In Errors

Containing Costs

but most of the doctors are not using it. The main cause is economical. Small hospitals and clinics find it difficult to but computers, softwares and technical support for an average of
25,000 $ per doctor.
